Alex was born in Paris and attended school in Paris and Africa. After university he worked at art galleries in London and Paris before moving to New York to pursue his interest in photography, working with various fashion photographers.
Alex is renowned for his ability to situate beauty in the real world. Over the years this approach has led to numerous portrait commissions for books, magazines and advertising campaigns, with subjects including Kim Gordon, Marina Abramovic, and Daft Punk. He has also collaborated on photo and video projects with contemporary artists such as Tom Sachs, Alex Bag and Bernadette Corporation.
His fashion work follows the same approach, mixing models with non-professionals, as seen in his recent fashion stories for Purple Fashion and Numero Homme.
Antitich's work has been featured in range of publications, including the book Yves Saint Laurent: 40 Years of Creation.
